I am a qualified counsellor and member
of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists.
I am also qualified as an NLP practitioner and currently
studying for my MA in Psychotherapy. My approach is
'Integrative' which means I use different theoretical
models to creatively support clients towards positive
growth and change.
My Philosophy
I believe that therapy challenges us to look inwardly
and beyond facades. It provides us with a reflective
space so that we can engage meaningfully with 'who
we are', our relationship to self and to others.
How I work with Clients
My aim is to help clients connect with difficult
feelings that are felt to compromise how life is lived
and experienced day-to-day. Through our work together
my hope is that clients will be able to move beyond
facades and resolve painful wounds that are felt to
hold them back.
What client's find through working in this way is
the development of an internal strength that allows
them to become more of 'who-they-are' or 'want-to-be'.
To support change in clients, I work sensitively and
explore what is felt to disturb or distress them.
I also pay attention to the therapeutic relationship
and our ability to engage with each other openly.
